What does competent teaching mean at the Watts Learning Center and what is this understanding based upon?

As a K-8 Institution of Learning across 2 charter schools, we are striving to articulate with greater clarity, explanation and predictability a representative approach to facilitating student learning.

Our schools are engaged in the continuous work to define a systematic approach to teaching. A systematic approach to teaching is grounded in a theoretical perspective on learning and a shared set of descriptive core practices that align with our vision and core values and perspectives.

We are engaging in processes to articulate and represent a shared approach to teaching with greater consistency, continuity and predictability relative to student learning outcomes.
